Car Rally

On a Saturday in the Spring Term we held a rally at the Hut for radio-controlled cars.

These are some photos taken at the Rally.

At the start
The off! The Cubs (and some Beavers) brought their own cars.

The Rally consisted of a number of Stages, some of them outside (when it wasn't raining) and some of them inside (when it was).
Some of the Stages were simple speed stages round a figure-of-eight course. And some of them were obstacle courses. Obstacle course.
See saw At every Stage only one car could run at a time, because of interference when two radio controllers were switched on at the same time.

And we got through a lot of batteries!
The final competition was scoring a goal with a football - that's a real test of car control! Football
