| At the end of May we joined all the other
Cub Packs from Exeter at the District Cub Camp. The
Camp was for a weekend, and was held at Huish Woods Campsite in Somerset.

15 boys came, and we took part
in a lot of different activities organised on the Camp Site, including
orienteering . . .(photo above)
. . . and boules (photos to left and below).
|
It rained a lot during the weekend, but there were a few
patches of sun.

The boys particularly enjoyed the archery. (The
Leaders had a go, and enjoyed it too!)

Robin Hood!

Showing us all how to do it!
Other activities included a tree trail, a visit to the very muddy adventure
playground on the Campsite (after which several of the boys had to be hosed
down before we'd let them back into camp!), and a crawl through an artificial
cave system to get muddy again.
|
And the final planned activity was using hot irons from
the fire for branding.

We made this!

On Saturday night it was raining so hard that we couldn't
have a camp fire. So we stayed in our mess tent and entertained ourselves,
instead.
