Camp at Dawlish Warren

At Half Term week, at the beginning of June, we went to Camp for 4 days. We went to Dawlish Warren.

Here are some photos of some of what we did.
Visitor Centre
Nature Reserve There's a nature reserve at Dawlish Warren, and the first day we visited the reserve.
We saw some nature, and we played some games.
The trip to the nature reserve ended on the beach. So we ended up getting wet, even though we didn't have our swimming stuff with us! The sea
The next day we walked into Dawlish for a treasure hunt.
We were gangs of smugglers, and we had to get clues to tell us when the smuggler's ship was coming, and what cargo they were bringing.
Swimming The day after, we went down to the beach. It wasn't cold. It was freezing!!
We caught crabs in the rock pools, but we were always careful to put them back somewhere where they could get away again. Crab
Later, we got a message by semaphore saying that the smugglers' ship was going to land the cargo at the Red Rock at ten o'clock that night.
Dodgems And that day, too, we went to the fair.
We had a camp fire at night, and sang some songs and cooked chocolate bananas.

Late that night we went to the Red Rock to see if the smugglers had landed. We found a box of gold coins hidden in a cave, and brought it back to our camp.

Landing the brandy On our last day we all had to work together to get the smuggled brandy from the beach up to the top of the cliff.
